Based on the design thinking process, our team starts with understanding and helping to develop a brief. We work closely with customers to understand their goals, challenges and constraints. Through early alignment and clear problem framing, we establish the foundation needed to guide the project with purpose, clarity and confidence, leading to successful outcomes.
1. DEFINE
2. RESEARCH
Centered on a people first approach, our team combines user insight, technology exploration and market analysis to uncover opportunities and validate assumptions. This phase ensures we work through a project, the outcomes are grounded in real needs and informed by emerging trends and user behaviors.
3. IDEATE
Our team starts with a workshop to generate a wide range of creative possibilities from a diverse range of disciplines and experiences.
Approaching each project with a core understanding of how lighting, UX and CMF impacts each other, our process allows for rapid exploration allows us to test ideas, challenge convention and identify the concepts with the strongest potential for innovation.
4. DESIGN
As we advance through the design process, filtering the many ideas, our design team uses the latest tools to help develop and communicate the best fit solution.
-
Photo-realistic rendering .
-
Ergonomic and user studies.
-
Surface modelling.
-
Advanced optical simulation & design.

Animation design & mapping.
5. PROTOTYPE
Light, CMF and UX topics are visual and interactive. They need to be seen, touched, and experienced in reality to understand and evaluate their value and impact. For over 20 years, our extensive prototype centre and network of partners in the UK has been producing high quality prototypes suitable for the automotive industry.
6. VALIDATE
We combine digital simulation with real‑world hardware testing to evaluate lighting behaviour, optical performance and user impact. With high quality optical tools and fast iterative feedback, we optimise concepts to meet both functional and experiential goals.
